Master's degree in Mathematics Education
The purpose of this graduate school is to train senior staff that will engage in research in Mathematics education, promote the teaching of Mathematics at all ages and systems, develop learning environments and curricula, and engage in the training of Mathematics teachers.
Interdisciplinary Program in Difficulties and Learning Disabilities in Arithmetic and Mathematics
The program is designed for those interested in information processing and numerical and mathematical learning processes and in normative and poor learning processes of Algebra and Mathematics. Graduates will be certified by the Faculty of Education and will be eligible for a graduate degree in the interdisciplinary MA in Education program for difficulties and learning disabilities in Arithmetic and Mathematics. The goal is to enrich and deepen the student's clinical skills and allow him / her to integrate the theoretical/empirical knowledge and practice.
Division of Brain and Learning
This new division was opened in the Department of Learning Disabilities and Edmond J. Safra Center in the University of Haifa in order to address the need for scientific research training and graduate studies to students who wish to specialize in the level of brain systems (systems approach) in the field of learning disabilities and normal learning processes. The program is designed for graduate students who are interested in a multi-systemic view of man as a learning being and the presence of developmental disabilities and modes of shortage.
Program of Learning Disabilities in the Arabic Language
This is a designated academic and clinic training program that operates according to a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary diagnostic approach. The program aims at training specialists in the research, diagnosis, individual therapy and systemic work in the field of learning disabilities in the Arabic language. Students who successfully finish the graduate degree may be admitted to work in centers for learning disabilities. Those who wish to become part of this filed in the education system usually require to obtain a teaching certificate.
Master’s Degree in the Department of Learning Disabilities
The department offers several courses. Course A (writing a thesis) includes taking courses in accordance with the curriculum set forth herein, submission of two seminar papers and submission of a thesis. This program includes 48 weekly hours of study per semester for a period of two and a half years.
Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language
The purpose of the Master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language is to enhance the education of students on issues related to teaching and learning processes of teaching English as a Foreign Language, while specializing in the psychological, pedagogical, philosophical and linguistics theories that guide these processes and while becoming aware of the knowledge structure of professions. Students of the program will acquire both research and analytical tools, which will assist them in acquiring and developing theoretical, empirical and practical knowledge on various issues and thereby advance the theoretical field and its manifestations in practice.
Division of Physical Education
The objectives of studying in the program are: deepening the theoretical foundations of Physical Education; Knowledge of research tools and expertise in various aspects of the field; Promotion of teaching staff and education in secondary schools and post-secondary in the fields of Physical Education and Sports; Training of senior staff for administrative, supervision, training and consultancy positions in the fields of Physical Education in schools, local authorities and sports institutions in Israel; Construction of a suitable background as a preparation for the rehabilitation through movement for populations that require it.
Division of Investigating Alternatives in Education
The division seeks to help develop the personal and unique voice of each of those studying in it. Studies are focused on being active, having a passion for learning, being creative, imaginative, introspective, and on the f personal and professional development of students with personal support of the teaching staff. The program combines various experiences, learning of theories, the acquisition of methodological tools, exposure to practice in the alternative field, conducting observations, and developing a personal project of each of the students.
Division of Technologies in Education
The division is designed for those interested in researching, initiating, developing, designing, operating, evaluating and leading educational programs in technologically enriched environments in educational, community, corporative, industrial, or government systems; It is also designed for those interested in an academic career as researchers and teachers in the field of advanced technologies in education at colleges and universities.
Division of Developing Educational Systems
The purpose of the studies in the division is to deepen the study of theoretical and practical foundations of curriculum, instruction, learning environments and formal and informal educational systems. Studies in the program are rooted in a broad humanistic and interdisciplinary perception and provide an academic, empirical and experimental basis for working in different educational settings.
Master's degree in the Department of Learning, Teaching and Training
Studies in the department are anchored in an Integrative perception of acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of learning, teaching and training: studying in innovative learning environments, professional learning, guidance and training, curriculum planning and teaching of a discipline. Studies provide an academic, empirical and experimental basis for working in formal and informal educational settings.
Specialization in Early Childhood in the Special Education Department
Specialization in early childhood includes a collection of theoretical courses with theoretical, empirical and practical emphasis, aimed at expanding and deepening the knowledge of developmental issues in infancy and early childhood. The postgraduate studies include four courses, one of which is a required course in the first year, which is a prerequisite for of the specialization courses. Students are required to submit at least one seminar paper out of the seminars included in the specialization.
The Division of Autism and Developmental Disabilities
The division is engaged in deepening the knowledge, critical approach and ability to research in the relevant educational areas for people with autistic spectrum disorders and people with developmental disabilities. The division focuses on deepening the relationship with the field, developing methods of assessment and intervention in these disabilities, while increasing knowledge and understanding of cognitive, emotional, social and functional status of people with these disabilities.
The Division of Emotional Disorders and Behavioral Problems
The program is designed for those who want to delve into and engage in the areas of behavioral disorders and emotional problems. The program meets the needs of the field of knowledge relating directly to the population of children with emotional disorders and behavioral problems. The program focuses on deepening the relationship with the field, the development of methods of assessment and intervention in disabilities, while deepening the knowledge and understanding of cognitive, emotional, social and functional status of people with these disabilities.
Master's Degree in Special Education
Studies in the Department of Special Education focus on profound learning of theoretical, empirical and practical aspects of the various fields of special education, including a focus on developmental disabilities and communication disorders, emotional disorders and behavioral problems and sensory impairments, as well as expertise in computers or in early childhood.
The Multi-Disciplinary Program of Education and Development in Early Childhood
The master's degree program provides a broad and current knowledge base on issues related to development and education in early childhood, from birth to early school years. The first purpose of the program is to promote knowledge in education and development while developing and expanding the study of early childhood in general and in the Israeli context in particular. The second goal is to foster an educational leadership with practical and theoretical capabilities that will lead and promote changes and improvements to the quality of early childhood education.
The Division of Group Training
The purpose of this division is to train professionals to guide task groups, advisory groups and treatment groups, on a wide range of topics: personal and interpersonal development, emotional development of children and adolescents, counseling of parents and groups of teachers. The division will train specialists who are able to combine research and practice.
Division of Education and Human Development
The division of Education and Human Development offers a unique program that focuses on developmental processes and their contexts in the educational life. The division strives to deepen the knowledge about the causes and processes that affect the functioning and adjustment of the individual's in various developmental environments, such as the family and the educational framework.
Division of Education of Gifted and Talented Students
The division is designed for those interested in research on the development, learning and teaching of students with high abilities, applicants training for the role of facilitators teachers for gifted students, those interested in the development of curricula and learning environments designed for these students, thinking about policies and national planning of the issue, the development of diagnostic tools in the field of gifted education, and in helping gifted and talented students and their families.
Master's Degree Program in Educational Counseling at Mbh"r, Bnei Brak
A unique program, which is three-years long (3 semesters each year including a summer semester). The program includes academic studies along with practical training in schools. The plan is identical to the plan at the University of Haifa while being adjusted to fit the particular needs of the ultra-orthodox population. At the end of the program a master's degree is awarded in the division of Educational Counseling in the Department of Counseling and Human Development at the University of Haifa.
Division of Educational Counseling
The purpose of the division is to deepen the theoretical basis acquired during the BA studies on educational counseling and developmental psychology. The emphasis is on deepening the theoretical foundations of counseling, extending the systemic orientation in individual and group approaches, understanding issues of applied research, preparing for coordinating and training roles and a critical systemic reference to the counselor's work.
The Division of Art Treatment - Bibliotherapy
Bibliotherapy is a therapy using literature, which belongs to the field of art therapy. This is a therapy that uses works from fiction (prose, poetry and children's literature) and various processes of writing in order to develop insight and awareness, to expose the world of emotions and the conscious and unconscious conflicts that are associated with it, and help in dealing with stressful situations and in deeper understanding of relationships.

The division of Educational Counseling, the division of Art Treatment- Bibliotherapy, the division of Education and Human Development, the division of Education of Gifted and Talented Students, the Multi-Disciplinary Program in Education and Early Childhood Development, and the division of Group Training.
Division of Education, Society and Culture
The division focuses on the social and cultural aspects of education, with particular emphasis on non-formal education. Studies are anchored in the disciplines of sociology and anthropology of education and illuminate the relationships between education systems and key social issues such as justice, equality, identity and otherness. Accordingly, studies focus the non-formal education in its broader social and cultural context.
Master's Degree in Educational Administration for Officers and Security Forces
The program aims to provide knowledge and experience in the field of organization, administration and human resources, with a focus on formal and informal education. The curriculum framework allows students to specialize in issues related to the study of organizations, administration and human resources. In addition to the theoretical basis, students will acquire management and teamwork skills, as well as individual and group instruction skills. The goal is to train a leading administrative provision in education.
Division of Management of Education Systems
The division of Management of Education Systems is designed to provide knowledge and experience in the fields of educational administration, organization and policy with a focus on formal and informal education. The curriculum consists of diverse fields, including organizations, leadership and management, public policy, human resources, law and economics. In addition to the theoretical base, students acquire various skills, including administrative skills.

The department of Leadership and Policy in Education provides knowledge, understanding and experience in the field of policy, organization, administration and leadership, with an emphasis on the social and cultural context and its impact on the wider formal and informal education system. Department studies represent theoretical methodologies perspectives, as well as exposure to the practice of various educational institutions.
